uvex returns to UCI WorldTour with Intermarché-Circus-Wanty

Intermarché-Circus-Wanty is now riding with performance products "made in uvex" and put their trust in uvex helmets and eyewear for the upcoming seasons.

The Intermarché-Circus-Wanty helmet collection includes the uvex rise and the uvex race 9 for the typical race days. While the uvex race 9 with its large ventilation channels ensures a cool head, especially for climbers and in warmer weather conditions, the uvex rise is the perfect aero helmet. The lightweight helmet passed the WorldTour competition in aerodynamic tests already before the start of the season. Especially for the pros, the uvex rise has been equipped with an upgrade package that offers even more performance and comfort features.

In the time trial, Intermarché-Circus-Wanty relies on the uvex race 8 and thus on the helmet, which proved its top class just a few weeks ago at the Ironman World Championships in Hawaii with winner Chelsea Sodaro. A shortened teardrop shape and special dimples on the helmet shell provide optimized air flow and maximum power savings on the time trial bike.

The pros are also equipped with the uvex eyewear flagship models. They can choose between the uvex pace one V, the uvex sportstyle 231 2.0 V (both with automatic lens tinting) or the uvex sportstyle 236 (with interchangeable lenses) in a striking shield look.

uvex has been a known name in the peloton for more than 30 years. uvex athletes have cheered almost a hundred times at the Tour de France, the Giro d’Italia, the Vuelta a España or one of the cycling monuments. Now the performance products from the German family-owned company are returning to the roads of the biggest races with Intermarché-Circus-Wanty.

The uvex helmets and eyewear were already shown in competition by the riders of Tormans Cyclo Cross Team and will soon also shine on the road in the first races of World Team Intermarché-Circus-Wanty and Development Team Circus-ReUz-Technord.

Together with Intermarché-Circus-Wanty, uvex is working on new performance products. Thanks to in-house development and own production facilities, the rider feedback has a direct impact on new helmets and eyewear. New uvex models are already expected in the coming months.

« With team Intermarché-Circus-Wanty we’re constantly looking for the most high-performance equipment. We have a serious advantage with the Uvex helmets, as tests have proven that they are among the most aerodynamic in the world. Especially the time trial models will help us to make collective improvements in races against the clock. Personally, I’m convinced that safety must come first in the development of a helmet and I’m pleased that this is a priority for Uvex too, as they even go further than the safety standards. I also appreciate the comfort and the design of the different models of glasses and helmets, which perfectly match our kit from Nalini. Our team colors offer a perfect visibility, both on the road as when looking for your teammates in the peloton. Finally, it is a privilege to work with former cyclist André Greipel, who knows how important small concerns can be for us and who collects our feedback. I’m convinced that we will progress together with Uvex to lift our standards even more together! »

« Athletes rely on uvex in the most emotional moments. Our helmet and eyewear technologies are already world class. At uvex, we are not satisfied with that – we think ahead. The bike segment is growing and with our new partnership we are heading towards the future. It is a milestone for the brand and for the development of new, innovative products that will inspire all cyclists. »
