Breakaway hangs on in hilly stage 5

The peloton of Paris-Nice (2.UWT) raced in the heights of the region Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes this Thursday, on the occasion of a fifth hilly stage towards Saint-Sauveur-de-Montagut. The early breakaway of ten riders took the honor at the end of the 188 kilometer stage, preceding the contenders for the general classification by 5 minutes.

On Friday, the riders will cover the longest stage of the 80th edition, with a sixth stage of 213 kilometer towards Aubagne. Seven difficulties are part of the parcours, among whom the Col de l’Espigoulier (11km at 4.4%) in the final 30 kilometer.
