Kristoff sprints to 6th place in closing stage

The seventh and last stage of Tirreno-Adriatico (2.UWT) in San Benedetto del Tronto ended in a bunch sprint this Sunday. Norwegian rider Alexander Kristoff, who participated to the Race of the Two Seas for the first time, took sixth place. He started the sprint in the headwind in the lead after a brilliant lead-out from Andrea Pasqualon.

By crossing the line in the peloton, Domenico Pozzovivo confirmed his thirteenth place in the general classification. It was the eighth time in ten participations that the Italian rider finished within the first fifteen riders of the event.
